A vaginal speculum examination is a common check performed by your doctor. During this evaluation, a tool is gently inserted into the vagina to examine the vaginal walls. This facilitates your provider to observe any abnormalities and monitor your status. Prior to the exam, you may be asked to remove any clothing items from the waist down.
